Posted on September 15, 2011 by admin

Default server IP : 192.168.1.228

If your DSL modem router gateway is 192.168.1.1, the webserver will automatically pick up the static IP 192.168.1.228
If your router is in any different configuration and above is not within your IP range, then you will have to change the webserver IP manually.

Let’s change the webserver IP
Login to the webserver using Putty, username : root password : nextgvoip
Click [here] to download Putty

Change root password
passwd
enter your password using letters numbers and upper-lower cases.

Using your favourite editor, change the IP configuration.

Edit /etc/hosts

# that require network functionality will fail.
